Talya Messeri serves as Vice President of Development and Strategic Partnerships for the Haym Salomon Center. With an extensive background in media, marketing and non-profit development, she believes in the power of story, and is committed to the philosophy that change begins with a shift in the cultural narrative.
Talya’s background includes a degree in film production from the renowned University of Southern California school of Cinematic arts. She has held positions of increasing responsibility in Hollywood – all the way from intern to story editor – in a number of studios and production companies, including Randal Kleiser Productions, Universal Pictures, Village Roadshow Pictures, and Maverick Films and Television.
Before joining HSC, Talya served as Director of Development for Taliesin Nexus, an organization committed to transforming culture by creating a network of mainstream film and television producers, screenwriters, directors who share a passion for a free society.
As a former marketing consultant, Talya has assisted a wide range of businesses such as production companies, resource centers and entrepreneurs in telling their brand stories through online and offline methods that connected their products, projects or services to their ideal customers, clients and audiences.
A native of Canada – and by way of Los Angeles and Chicago – Talya now lives in Washington, D.C.
